Going on a trip may be pleasurable for vacation goers, but for most harried businessmen, traveling is one of the distressing features that comes along with the job. Fortunately, airline companies recognize the need for having accommodation and amenities for individuals who want to make the most out of a trip. Sleep deprived businessmen may now rest and sleep easily in a business class flight.

A flight with business class is offered on most international routes and planes. Airlines especially designed the option to fly business class for long hours of travel. Flying business class offers more amenities and comfort compared to flying economy class. And with that, the rates are also expected to be higher, and they vary according to the airline and your destination.

Nevertheless, you can expect to get your money’s worth. A business class flight features more legroom for comfort, premium food and wine service, wider seats, reclining seats and adjustable leg rests, personal TV with more viewing choices, laptop power ports, and amenity kits which include eye masks, socks, and toiletries, among others. Of course, the services and features vary with every airline, but these are the usual upgrades you can expect in business class seating compared to economy class.

A large, comfortable seat is perhaps one of the most prominent features of a flight in business class. Depending on the airline, business class may offer recliner seats, flat bed seats, lie-flat seats, cradle seats, or even suites in such jumbo jets as the new Airbus 380.

Recliner seats are those that recline at a 160 degree angle from the seat base. Although the degree of recline is minimal compared to the flat bed seats, it’s still able to provide adequate space and comfort to the passenger.

The lie-flat seat is marketed to recline at a 180 degree angle, but actually reclines at a 172 degree angle and is not completely horizontal when fully reclined. Nevertheless, it is a comfortable seat for those who plan to get some paperwork or relaxation done.

The flat bed seat reclines fully at 180 degrees and forms a flat bed, providing comfort for those who want to get some sleep during especially long flights.

These are some amenities to expect when on a business class flight. With all the special features you will be getting, expect to pay a higher rate.
